Lindsay Nicholas is proud to be taking part in #WeWearAustralian – An initiative set up by Showroom X to support the Australian fashion industry.
Supporting local fashion has always been a part of our culture in Melbourne and it has never been as important as it is this year. As our city, along with others around Australia, races to reopen our beloved boutiques when we can safely do so, Showroom X has set up an initiative to ensure our local fashion scene makes it through this pandemic.
#WeWearAustralian aims to raise awareness about Australian brands that have been significantly affected by this global situation. Richard Poulson, Co-Founder of Morrison and CEO of Showroom X, spoke on the collaboration, saying “The Australian fashion industry has never experienced tougher times, but we are a creative and resilient industry, by uniting and putting a spotlight on the industry impact and response we are able to support each other and contribute to the rebuild of Australia.”
We’re going to do this by supporting our fellow talented Australian designers, manufacturers and creatives as they’re supporting us. We’ve also donated to Thread Together – a charity whose mission is to deliver new, good quality clothing and footwear to people in our community who are in financial difficulty by providing them with the opportunity to choose a complete wardrobe of new clothes.
To thank those supporting Australian businesses, we’re offering 20% off our signature piece, the shirt dress. You can claim this by using the promocode WEWEARAUSTRALIAN20.
Rebuilding Melbourne’s fashion industry holds a special place in Lindsay Nicholas’ heart, as we open our flagship boutique on Little Collins Street later this year and are excited to join a flourishing community of fashion leaders. We’re always #bettertogether.
Until then, Stay Safe.
